What does Tone Verified mean?

A Tone Verified food has been checked by a person at Tone: the record, the name and the portions were picked by hand, and the numbers come from USDA data. Some chain restaurant items use the chain’s own published nutrition.

Every food’s detail page also says where its numbers came from: the USDA, the manufacturer’s label, a label someone added, the foods it’s made of, or an estimate when nothing matched exactly.
